In 2022, Dolly was inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame. With that, Dolly had said that she wants to record a rock album (Rock Star) to help fully solidify her already deserved spot in the hall of fame.
Dolly recently said in an interview that she will feature other artists on her new rock album like: Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Brandi Carlile, John Fogerty, Cher, Pink, Steve Perry and Steven Tyler. She has mentioned covering Prince’s song Purple Rain as well.
There is no set and stone date for the release of Rock Star but we can expect it hopefully sometime this year!
