What’s there to do in Elk River in the middle of February? Have fun in the snow! Join BOB FM for Shiver Elk River 2017 at Lake Orono Park on Saturday, February 11th! Shiver Elk River is a family-friendly winter community weekend outdoors, and is sure to be the most fun you’ll have all winter!
Activities include:
- 2-day outdoor hockey tournament! Kicking off on Friday, February 10th, this pond-hockey style classic tournament brings back the excitement of outdoor in Elk River’s iconic “Pit”. Opening round is played Friday night and the action continues all day on Saturday!
- Shiver Dash! Shiver’s annual 5k/10k race kicks off Saturday at 9:00am in Lake Orono Park. Register by January 23rd to receive a moisture wicking race shirt! This is a timed race, with prizes for first and second place in the Men’s & Women’s divisions. Teams welcome!
- Bean Bag Tournament! Get a buddy and sign up for the Shiver Bean Bag Tournament, happening all day Saturday! On-site registration accepted if tournament isn’t full. Cash and other prizes for top teams!
- The Shiver Plunge! For a br-r-r-y good time, take a dip in Lake Orono to benefit your favorite charity! Each plunger is encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 for their favorite chairty.
