Bluegrass\, Old-Time Stringband\, and related forms of acoustic and Americana music are combined to suit a wide range of interests. \nBring your own instrument and join in a jam or workshop\, sign up the kids for the talent show (kids under 18 are FREE!)\, visit the food trucks and craft booths\, or plant your chair in the natural amphitheater and listen to nearly 30 hours of great music! \nHowever you experience the festival\, you’ll have a GREAT time! \nFor the first time\, this year’s August Festival will have FREE ADMISSION! DESCRIPTION:The Nowthen Threshing Show is a three day event that takes place annually on the third full weekend (Friday through Sunday) in August. \nGuests can watch history happen by watching corn chopping\, blacksmithing\, grain threshing\, and sawmill demonstrations\, or experience historic culture by wandering through the old restored school\, church\, log buildings\, and train depot on the grounds. \nEvery year the Nowthen Threshing Show selects a brand of tractor and engine as the feature at the show.  These items are the spotlight during the Parade of Power and often draw a larger number and greater variety of these tractors and engines.  All types of tractors\, engines\, and implements are welcome at the grounds\, but the feature gives a particular type of tractor or engine the opportunity to shine.
