DESCRIPTION:The Nowthen Threshing Show is a three day event that takes place annually on the third full weekend (Friday through Sunday) in August. \nGuests can watch history happen by watching corn chopping\, blacksmithing\, grain threshing\, and sawmill demonstrations\, or experience historic culture by wandering through the old restored school\, church\, log buildings\, and train depot on the grounds. \nEvery year the Nowthen Threshing Show selects a brand of tractor and engine as the feature at the show.  These items are the spotlight during the Parade of Power and often draw a larger number and greater variety of these tractors and engines.  All types of tractors\, engines\, and implements are welcome at the grounds\, but the feature gives a particular type of tractor or engine the opportunity to shine.

The Saturday music line-up is the Jason Paulson Band performing with a few special guests! They will do a variety of music from country to rock to pop and even some 80’s music sprinkled in! \n  \nSaturday evening on the main stage is stacked–kicking things off is the Midwest CMO Entertainer of the Year Cory Waller & The Wicked Things with a “blackdirt” country sound that is basically “Red Dirt with attitude!”…plus Emilee Johnson their female lead is the Female Vocalist of the year and they will no doubt wow the crowd with their love song “Steal A Car” which was recently awarded Song of the Year!! After that is a RETURN trip for Derek Jones and the 50 South who most people at LIVIN 2 years ago wanted them back to HEADLINE the event!! They are just that good! They have a southern rock vibe and Derek’s voice will probably be heard all the way to Nowthen! Our headliner this year will be revealed soon but all we can tell you is this artist has (19) top 10 hits on the country charts so you know you’ll be in for a big night of sing-a-long songs and let’s just say that if you’ve liked the music in past years we PROMISE you will enjoy the music this year!! \nAlways remember that this event is put on by our mostly volunteer non-profit organization (The LIVIN Foundation) to benefit our mission of suicide prevention.
