Watch 14-Year Old Hank Williams Jr. Make His First TV Debut In 1964

In 1964 Hank Jr. made his first tv appearance on ABC’s The Jimmy Dean Show, and performed a handful of his dad’s hits, one of them being “Long Gone Lonesome Blues.”

“Long Gone Lonesome Blues,” was written and released by Hank Williams in 1950 and was his second career number one single on the Country & Western charts. Hank Jr. went on to cover the song himself and his version of the song charted at number five.
