This is NOT a scam. It’s not some shady website. It’s the Minnesota Department of Commerce. You might have “abandoned” money just waiting to be claimed. The state of Minnesota keeps track of these unclaimed assets as part of the Unclaimed Property act. This site let’s you search state records to see if someone owes you money!
It’s pretty easy. Just enter your first and last name, (or your businesses’ name) on the Minnesota Department of Commerce website. It will show you a list of unclaimed property under that name, if you are owed something. Once you have claimed it, you’ll get a check sent to you in mail. It’s really that easy!
