On June 16th 2017 Sandy collapsed at her home and was rushed to the hospital. She needed to be put on an ECMO machine to pump her blood for her. She was in multiple hospitals until July 6th. Since July she has been going to rehab and learning how to do daily activities again. Side effects from the ECMO machine have left her with a tough road to recovery
Sandy is unable to drive or work. Her husband has had to miss a lot of work to take her to appointments. They are feeling the financial burden of her recovery and could really use some help.
